The news brought m by your letter of April twentieth of the action of the diocesant convention of your diocese is most cheering and is certainly in line with the best Christian sentiment of the country.  The churches can, and I hope will, do a vast deal of good in leading the country back to the high levels from which it has descended since the war.
Your personal comment of friendship is most gratifying to me, and I thank you most warmly.
Hoping your work in all things will go happily and prosperously.
