    Description

Pictured are two vintage latex foam, resin based 1960's Thomas Jefferson & Martha Jefferson Randolph figureheads/busts. Very rare pieces and even more unusual to find them as a pair! These were m
ade by ALFCO NY (Artistic Latex Foam Company, New York), which is engraved on the backside of both. ALFCO NY stopped producing items by the early 1970's. Throughout their time in business, they made many resin based home/restaurant decor ship figurehead reproductions. These two figures can be displayed as pictured or hung on the wall. Both have brackets on the back and are ready to go. There is some expected age wear present on both pieces, but they are in good vintage condition overall. The Thomas Jefferson figurehead stands approximately 12" tall and Martha is about 12 1/2".
***  Martha Jefferson Randolph was the eldest of Thomas Jefferson's children. Thomas Jefferson was widowed several years before he even became President. As a result, Martha Jefferson Randolph become First Lady of Virginia in 1819 when her then husband, Thomas Mann Randolph Jr., was elected as Virginia's Governor. While her father, Thomas Jefferson, was in office, Martha sometimes stayed with her father at the White House and served as an informal First Lady.
These are great items for the political/presidential memorabilia collector or collector of figureheads and busts.
