Civil Rights Act of 1964
and expanded public services on his “War on Poverty.”
This wonderful piece of U.S. history is a typed letter hand signed by then Senator Johnson.  It is sealed in a soft plastic cover that can be opened easily after purchase (it is NOT laminated, just sealed in a plastic sleeve).  It is very fine condition with only fold marks from mailing.
The letter is dated My 29, 1958 and addressed to Jake Pickle of the State Democratic Executive Committee of Texas.  It is signed "Lyndon."  It is on official letterhead.
