President Rutherford B Hayes Authentic Hand Written Addressed Envelope 1889.
For sale is an envelope with an authentic, hand-written address by former US President Rutherford B. Hayes.
It is addressed to Col. John W. Skiles, a veteran of the Civil War.
The ink is bold and dark with a beautiful, smooth penmanship.
***Please note — the handwritten letter pictured is NOT included in this sale. The letter was sold by Shafran Collectibles to a buyer who did not wish to buy the envelope.
I bought the envelope by itself from Shafran a year ago.
I was given a digital photo of the letter that was originally mailed in the envelope, and I will provide to the buyer that digital photograph of the letter.
Again, the envelope is REAL, ORIGINAL and HAND-WRITTEN by Hayes. It is not a reproduction.
This is a really cool piece of hand-written presidential history at a fraction of the cost of a full letter or autograph.
