President Herbert Hoover Signed Autographed Photo w/ Dog Shepard King Tut Framed.
Fantastic 8”x10” photo of President Herbert Hoover and his Shepard named King Tut. The photo is signed by Hoover at the bottom. It was also personalized to someone but the personalization has been clipped so that just the signature remains. It is in an old frame. You can tell it’s been framed for many decades. To me it looks like a 1930s or latest 1940s frame job. Hoover had a very serious public image before his run for presidency. As a PR move at the beginning of his campaign he autographed photos of him and King Tut and sent them around the country to influential people. The photo of him and his living companion helped to soften his image and win him the presidency. The photo and frame are in good antique condition. There is a scratch on the photo on Hoover’s lapel. Please inspect all photos carefully. This is a really cool piece of presidential history and an endearing image of a president and his dog. Shipping will be ASAP! Thanks
