    JOHN F. KENNEDY
.  Rare autograph letter signed by John F. Kennedy with his nickname, “Jack,” to his closest friend, Dave Powers, reminding him to schedule events after the first of the year: “Remind me after the first of the year about arranging Father Cavanaugh’s luncheon — and also getting hold of young Grozier at Georgetown.”  The letter is one page, measures 6.25 by 6 inches, and in very fine condition with trimmed edges and minor smudging to the ink.
RARE AUTOGRAPH LETTER SIGNED BY JOHN F. KENNEDY TO HIS CLOSEST FRIEND, DAVE POWERS, ON SCHEDULING A LUNCHEON WITH THE PERSONAL PRIEST OF THE KENNEDY FAMILY, FATHER JOHN J. CAVANAUGH
Dave Powers was Special Assistant and Assistant Appointments Secretary to President Kennedy.  He later served as Museum Curator of the John F. Kennedy Library and Museum from 1964 until his retirement in May 1994.  Father John J. Cavanaugh served as President of Notre Dame University from 1946 to 1952, was the personal priest of the Kennedy family, and a long-time friend of Joe Kennedy.  He led a private Mass for the Kennedy family on November 23, 1963 after the shocking assassination of President Kennedy a day earlier.
