TYPED LETTER SIGNED BY HERBERT HOOVER AS PRESIDENT CELEBRATING NORWAY’S INDEPENDENCE
The dissolution of the union between the kingdoms of Norway and Sweden took place on June 7, 1905.  Following several months of tensions and fear of war between the two nations, negotiations led to Sweden’s recognition of Norway as an independent country.  Absolutely wonderful content from a sitting U.S. President celebrating an allie’s independence.
