(Garden City, NY: Doubleday, Page & Company, 1922) signed on the front free endpaper by Herbert Hoover as President. Accompanied with a April 14, 1932 letter of authenticity on White House letterhead signed by Hoover’s personal secretary, Lawrence Richey, acknowledging Hoover signed the book at the request of Senator Simeon D. Fess.

Bayley on the front pastedown endpaper (the same recipient of the letter), and in very good condition with staining to the boards, sunning to the spine, light staining and foxing on a few of the pages, and an image of Hoover’s birthplace attached to page 13.
