During the 2008 presidential election, the Hillary Clinton campaign claimed that Barack Obama was not a natural-born citizen of the United States making him ineligible to run for president.  When Donald Trump reignited the “birther movement” in 2011 by insisting President Obama was born in Kenya, Obama released the present version of his Hawaii birth certificate to end the controversy.

Entitled “Certificate of Live Birth” at the top, originally from Honolulu, Hawaii and created on April 25, 2011, contains one page, measures 8.5 by 5.57 inches, and in pristine condition.  Three identical birth certificates signed by Obama recently sold for ,583 in September 2020, ,500 in April 2021, and ,359 in August 2021.
