    Description

    In this superb vignetted cabinet photograph, Cleveland has boldly signed
    in the white area and inscribed and dated: "To George B. [??] Nov. 15 1899". The recipient is possibly George B. McClellan, Jr. who was serving in the U.S. House of Representatives at the time. The image is blindstamped on the recto by the photographer, C. M. Bell. By November of 1899, Cleveland, who had served two non-consecutive terms as U.S. President, had retired to his estate in Princeton, NJ.
    Sight size: 5 1/2" x 3 3/4". Affixed to an early mat to: 12" x 9".
