    Offered is a James Monroe hand penned letter to John Quincy Adams. Dated May 22, 1816, this letter is the original communication between the future 5th and 6th Presidents of the United Sates. It also has the written endorsement and acknowledgement of Mackey by John Quincy Adams on verso. This lot includes a transcription of the letter, which reads as an introduction of a mutual friend “Mr. Tucker” from Monroe to Adams. Both the letter and the transcription measure 8” x 10”
